Demetri received his master’s degree in Public Policy & Administration from Northwestern University with a solid foundation of urban issues and the public sector. His passion for the political process led him to join high profile and very contested election campaigns. There he learned firsthand the importance of community outreach and grassroots campaigning. In 2015, Demetri joined economic development NFPs to work on challenging projects using innovative data analysis and GIS visualization tools to tell the story of communities. In 2019, Demetri began working with Emerald South Collab to identify policy and business related opportunities that align with the South Side organization’s footprint.
