Torrey L. Barrett is a Chicago native with over 25 years of experience improving the quality of life for residents in low-income, urban communities. Torrey is the principal of Imagine Group, a minority-owned and certified leading boutique real estate development firm. Torrey is a founding member of Emerald South Collab and was instrumental in shaping the board of the organization. In 2016, Torrey convened a group of representatives from the Obama Foundation, City of Chicago, Chicago Community Trust, Network of Woodlawn, and the University of Chicago to form a coordinated plan to stand up an economic development organization. Torrey also serves as a Director on NBC 5 Community Advisory Board, the KLEO Center, the University of Chicago Crime Lab Community Advisory Board, CFD Community Advisory Board, and the Illinois College of Optometry.
